About

Twenty years in this industry taught me one thing. The work matters because the people do.

Kevin Jeffries, ChFC, RICP, CEPA

I am Kevin Jeffries. I have been in financial services since 2006, and I have stayed for one reason. This work has real impact on real lives. When the plan is right, someone retires with confidence instead of anxiety. A business owner walks away from the sale knowing they kept what they earned. A family avoids a mistake that would have cost them years.

I have seen what sound guidance does for people. That is why I am still here.

The path here

My career began at Bank One, where I entered the management training program straight out of Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in Finance. Bank One was acquired by JPMorgan Chase, and I rose to Vice President and Branch Manager, leading teams and serving clients in one of the largest financial institutions in the country.

I left banking for one reason. I wanted to work in the part of finance where I could make the biggest difference in people's lives, their investments, their retirement, and their long-term financial independence.

For more than a decade I worked at some of the largest investment firms in the country, through a sequence of industry acquisitions. The work spanned the full range of how Americans invest today, from self-directed investors managing their own portfolios to clients in managed accounts and clients working with specialty money managers and wealth managers. My focus throughout was investor education and helping clients remove the barriers between them and their financial goals.

Those years gave me something many advisors never get. I saw firsthand where people go wrong when no one is in their corner. The mistakes are predictable. They are also potentially preventable. That knowledge is the foundation of my practice today.

I moved into full advisory work at Lincoln Financial Advisors, and since 2022 I have built my practice with Prudential Advisors. I have seen this industry from every angle, including large-scale banking, the breadth of the investment world, and full financial planning practice. Everything I do for clients is built on what all of it taught me.

How I practice

Every client relationship starts with a financial plan, not a product.

I do not believe you can recommend anything to someone until you understand their full picture. Income, taxes, family, goals, and the risks they have not thought about yet. The plan comes first. Everything else follows from it or it does not happen at all.

Beyond the office

Outside the office, I serve on nonprofit boards focused on workforce opportunity, scholarship, and mentoring in Western Massachusetts. Impact is not something I leave at work.

I work for you. Not for a product, not for a quota. I give guidance I am willing to stand behind years from now, not just on the day I make the recommendation.
